Want to display the photos from your iOS device on your Apple TV? This guide will walk you through the steps necessary to get your iOS device connected to your Apple TV, and wirelessly stream photos onto your TV screen.
Here's what you need:
- An Apple TV 4K or Apple TV (4th generation) with tvOS 11
- An iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with iOS 11 or later or a Mac with macOS High Sierra

Here's what you need:
- An Apple TV 4K or Apple TV (4th generation) with tvOS 11
- An iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with iOS 11 or later or a Mac with macOS High Sierra
- Open the app you'd like to stream from on your iOS device.
- Tap Airdrop or Airplay. In some apps, like Photos, tap the Share button.
- Tap AirPlay.
- Select your Apple TV.
To complete the following steps, you will need both your iOS device and your Apple TV.
On Your Apple TV
- Power on your Apple TV, then push the home button on the remote.
- Choose Settings.
- Choose Remotes and Devices.
- Choose Remote.
On Your iOS Device
- Unlock your iOS device and bring it close to your Apple TV.
- When you see a message on your iOS device that says Pair Apple TV, tap Pair.
On Your Apple TV
- You will see a code appear on your TV screen.

- On your iOS device, enter the four-digit pin that appears on your TV.
