How to Sync an Apple Watch

1. Introduction

Your Apple Watch will sync automatically when it pairs with your iPhone.

This guide will help you connect your watch and make sure it is connected for syncing.

2. Check Connection

If your Apple Watch is not connected the iPhone icon will be red.

3. Pairing

If your Apple Watch is new follow these instructions. If not, skip to the next section.

  1. Make sure Airplane mode is off and Bluetooth is on. To do this, swipe up on your iPhone to open Control Center.

  1. Open the Apple Watch app on your iPhone.
  2. Tap Start Pairing
  3. Tap it again on your Apple Watch.
  4. Wait for an animation to appear on your Apple Watch.
  5. Hold your iPhone over the animation and center it in the viewfinder.
  6. Wait for a message indicating that it has paired.
  7. Once paired, your Apple Watch will be synced.

If you want to pair your Apple Watch again, or want to pair a Watch with a new iPhone, follow these steps.

  1. Make sure Airplane mode is off and Bluetooth is on. To do this, swipe up on your iPhone to open Control Center.

  1. On your Apple Watch go to Settings.
  2. Tap General.
  3. Tap Reset.
  4. Tap Erase All Content and Settings.
  5. On your iPhone open the Apple Watch app.
  6. Tap the My Watch tab at the top of the screen.
  7. Tap the info icon next to the watch you want to unpair and unpair it.

  2. Once paired, your Apple Watch will be synced.
