This guide will show you how to turn on Bluetooth on your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch to connect them wirelessly to other devices.

1 Turn On Bluetooth

There are three ways to turn on Bluetooth on your iOS device:

Turn on Bluetooth by Asking Siri

  1. Say: "Hey Siri"
  2. Wait a moment for Siri to indicate she's listening, then say "Turn on Bluetooth."

Turn on Bluetooth through the Control Center

  1. Open the Control Center.

On iPhone X or later, or iPad with iOS 12 or later

  • Swipe down from the top right corner of the screen.

On iPhone 8 or earlier, iPad with iOS 11 or earlier

  • Swipe up from the bottom of the screen.

  1. Tap the Bluetooth icon to it turn on.

  2. The Bluetooth icon will switch to blue once it's turned On.

Turn on Bluetooth through the Settings

  1. Open Settings.
    iOS Settings.
  2. Go to Bluetooth.

  3. Tap the toggle switch to the right of Bluetooth to turn it on.

  4. With Bluetooth turned On, you will see a list of available devices to connect to.
