You can continue to use Facebook after uninstalling the App, using your built-in browser. Using Facebook this way results in a lot fewer crashes (if any), faster performance, and greatly improved battery life. Keep in mind, you won't get notifications from Facebook, though.
- Open the Chrome browser.
- In the address bar, type in https://www.facebook.com/, then either choose the address from the drop-down, or push the right arrow on your keyboard for return.
- Once you are on the Facebook page, select the 3-dots menu in the top-right corner.
- Select Add to Home screen.
- The name will automatically fill-in, but you are welcome to adjust it to your liking if you wish. When done, select Add.
You can use Facebook from your mobile web browser without it using anywhere near as much battery, without notifications, and in many cases it will be much more stable.
