How to Update an eero's eeroOS Software

1. Introduction

Your eero mesh network devices receive software updates on a rolling basis. Any time a new version is released, it is pushed out to devices within a few weeks of public release. While automatic updates are convenient, this slight delay can mean your eero network may not be updated immediately after a new version is released. Updates provide your eero system with the latest fixes and enhancements that keep your home’s WiFi running smoothly. This guide will show you how to check the version of eeroOS on your devices, and apply an update if one is available.

Tools You'll Need:

• A paperclip
• iPhone charging cable
• Access to a computer with iTunes installed
• Any other non-consumable tools needed
• Comment out tools section if no tools are necessary

2. Updating Your Router with the App

1. Open the Eero app.
   

1. Click the Menu on the top left of your screen.
   

1. Click on Network Settings.
   

1. Scroll down to Network Software.
   

1. If there is an available update, a button will be present which begins the update process. Tap the button and follow any on-screen instructions to apply the update. If Network software displays "Up-to-date", your Eero router is already running the latest software.
