4. Insert/Remove Memory Card

The micro SD card slot on the LeapFrog Epic tablet is covered by the bumper. It is located between the USB port and the power button.

To insert a micro SD card:

  1. Carefully remove the bumper from the LeapFrog Epic tablet.
  2. Insert a micro SD memory card (not included) into the micro SD slot. Push the card all the way into the spring loaded slot. If the card does not lock into place, try using the rounded edge of a safety pin, a nail file, or a small flathead screwdriver to push the micro SD card in until it locks.

To remove a micro SD card:

  1. You will need to use the spring loaded action to remove the micro SD card from the slot. Using whatever you used to push the card into the locked position (finger nail, safety pin, nail file, etc.) gently push the card all the way into the slot so that it springs out slightly.
  2. Once the micro SD card protrudes slightly from the slot, use your finger nails to grab and pull it all the way out.

5. Exit An App

Depending on whether an app was developed specifically for Android or made for a different platform, the steps to exit an app may be different.

Example 1

The Pet Play World app exits in the standard Android way. Swipe up from the bottom of the screen to reveal the Exit icon, then tap the Exit icon to exit to the Home screen.

Example 2

The Stretchy Monkey 2 app is an app that was originally designed for a different platform. To exit, this app requires the user to tap the Pause button, tap on Quit, then tap the Home icon to exit to the Home screen.

Pressing the power button will also exit an app, however this is not recommended. Exiting an app by pressing the power button will not save game progress or your child's learning progress.
