- Open your preferred web browser.
- In the address bar at the top, enter www.mywifiext.net and press Enter or Return.
- Enter the Email Address and password you set for your range extender, and select Log In.
- Select Status on the left.
- On the right, scroll down to the Access Point Wireless Settings (2.4GHz) and Access Point Wireless Settings (5GHz) sections. The Network Name, also called the SSID, is listed, and the password is listed just below.
- Open Settings.
- Select Wi-Fi.
- Select your extended network from the list.
If you're asked for a password, it's the one you just setup on your range extender.

- Select the Network icon in the bottom right.
- Select the the network name you setup during the extender setup.
- Select Connect.
- Select Wi-Fi from the menu bar, then select the extended network you just setup.

You can check the status of your range extender in two ways:
- On the device itself,
- On a computer.
The type and amount of network related information that you get depends on which method you use.
On Your Range Extender
- Locate the network status indicators near the front of the range extender.
- Check the Wi-Fi and Link indicators on the front of the range extender:
5 GHz Green The range extender has an optimal 5 GHz connection to your router.
5 GHz Amber The range extender has a good 5 GHz connection to your router.
5 GHz Red The range extender has a weak 5 GHz connection to your router. It should be placed closer to your router.
5 GHz Off The range extender does not have a 5 GHz connection to your router.
2.4 GHz Green The range extender has an optimal 2.4 GHz connection to your router.
2.4 GHz Amber The range extender has a good 2.4 GHz connection to your router.
2.4 GHz Red The range extender has a weak 2.4 GHz connection to your router. It should be placed closer to your router.
2.4 GHz Off The range extender does not have a 2.4 GHz connection to your router.
Link Green The range extender is connected to a computer or a Wi-Fi device.
Link Amber The range extender is starting or applying changes to the Wi-Fi settings. This should turn green in one minute.
Link Off The extender is not connected to a computer or a Wi-Fi device.
On Your Computer
- Launch the browser that you use to go online.
- Navigate to the following address: mywifiext.net
- Enter the password when requested.
- The Network Map tab will display the range extender's connection to the router, its operation mode and connection to your devices.
Finding the most optimal location for your Range Extender in your home is important for both maximizing your signal range and wireless coverage. Your Range Extender has a spot finder during the setup process to help you locate the best location for your device.
You can move your Range Extender from outlet to outlet using the spot finder as a guide for selecting locations that will provide the best wireless performance in your home.
