Before You Begin:
Have the Sengled Home App Installed
This guide assumes you have the Sengled Home app installed on your smartphone or tablet, and already have your smart plug setup.
Sengled has chosen a very standard Zigbee communication method for many of their products. Because of this, their devices will work with other 3rd party smart hubs.
Other Smart Hubs
If you're using another smart hub not provided by Sengled, we offer the following guides for using them.

Overloading any electrical circuit or improper use of any electrical device can cause fire and other damage to your home, your devices, and the Smart Plug itself.
Please consult the information that came with the device you intend to plug in, or a certified electrician if you are not certain.
Your smart plug is designed for lights and small appliances to allow you to turn them on or off remotely, and set timers for any small devices you plug in. There are plenty of other devices that would fit, but would end up going over the load, power, or temperature.
While not extensive, this list can help you gauge if a device you have would work well with your Sengled Smart Plug.
Acceptable
Problematic
You do not need nor want to connect a lamp that already has a Smart Bulb installed into a Smart Plug.
A smart plug is for use on simple devices to give you the ability to turn them on or off remotely. A smart bulb already gives you that control, and does not need a second device to turn it on or off.
While the following images depict smart lights within the Sengled Home app, the controls for your smart plug will look very similar.
Control All Devices
To turn all of the devices connected to the Sengled Home app on or off, select All On or All Off.
Control a Specific Room
To turn all of the devices assigned to a specific room within the Sengled Home app on or off, select the smaller All On or All Off for the room you want to change.

"Wake Up" scheduling typically works much better with Sengled lighting products due to their ability to adjust brightness. Using a smart bulb instead of a smart plug will allow wake up schedules to wake you up by slowly increasing the brightness in the room gradually, much like a sunrise would gradually fill your room with light.
