Your ecobee Smart Thermostat to be already linked with Google Assistant.

3. Use Google Assistant

You must speak to your Google Assistant-enabled device to control your ecobee Smart Thermostat.

Getting the Temperature / Set-point / Mode of a Thermostat

"Hey Google, what is the current temperature in the <thermostat name>?"
"Hey Google, what's the <thermostat name> set to?"
"Hey Google, what's the temperature of my thermostat?"

Getting the Temperature of a Room Sensor

"Hey Google, what's the current reading on the <sensor name> sensor?"
"Hey Google, what does the <room name> <sensor name> say?"

Setting the Temperature

"Hey Google, set the temperature in the <thermostat name> to <temperature>."
"Hey Google, set the temperature to <temperature>."

Increasing / Decreasing the Temperature

"Hey Google, increase the temperature in the <thermostat name>."
This will result in a 5 degrees F (3 degrees C) increase from the current set-point.
Hey Google, decrease the temperature in the <thermostat name>."
This will result in a 5 degrees F (3 degrees C) decrease from the current set-point.
