Hue Sync is software you can install on your Windows or macOS computer, to allow you to sync your lights to the music, video, or game on-screen, and provide a more immersive experience.
Hue Sync has four main areas to explore:
Scenes lets you set, or reset to a simple, static, non-changing scene for your lights. This is a convenient way to 'set things back to normal' after you watch a movie, play a game, or listen to music with Hue Sync.
- Open Hue Sync.
- Select Scenes.
- Select the scene or color you'd like your lights set to.

Games allows you to sync your gameplay in your favorite games to your room lights, to create a more immersive, fun experience.
- Open Hue Sync.
- Select Games.
- Select how strong you'd like the effect to be. Select if you'd like to use audio effect to further enhance the action of the lights, then select Start light sync.
- Start, or return to the game you want to play. Your lights should now be synced up to the action in game.
You may need to further adjust these options depending on personal preference and the type of game you are playing.
Once you are done enjoying your Hue lights being synced up, it's best to disable the Sync, so it won't cause you problems later.
- Open Hue Sync.
- Select Stop light sync at the bottom.
If you want, you can now use Scenes to set your lights to a single, static scene, instead of the last color scheme set by the sync process.
Music allows you to sync your Music to your room lights, to create a more immersive, fun experience.
- Open Hue Sync.
- Select Music.
- Select how strong you'd like the effect to be. Select the color palette you'd like your lights to use. Then select Start light sync.
- Start, or return to the music you want to play. Your lights should now be synced up to your music.
You may need to further adjust these options depending on personal preference and the type of music you are listening to.
Video allows you to sync your movies to your room lights, to create a more immersive, fun experience.
- Open Hue Sync.
- Select Video.
- Select how strong you'd like the effect to be. Select if you'd like to use audio effect to further enhance the action of the lights, then select Start light sync.
- Start, or return to the video you want to watch. Your lights should now be synced up to the action on screen.
