2. Connect Controller
Your PlayStation 4 controller can be used wirelessly or with the wire. While connected to your console, your controller will charge.
Plug one end of the provided wireless controller USB cable into a USB port on the front of the PlayStation 4.
Plug the other end into the micro USB port on top of the wireless controller.
Press the PS button to pair the controller to the console.
Once the controller is charged, you can remove the cable and use it wirelessly. The console will give you a warning when the controller is low on charge.
Things to consider if you are experiencing PS4 controller issues:
The batteries may have insufficient power. Charge your controller.
Check how many controllers are connected, the console can only have a maximum of 4 active controllers connected to it.
If the PS4 controller's buttons are not lit, try turning the controller back on. The controller has a power save feature which turns it off after 15 minutes of inactivity.
Other wireless connection-capable devices may have signals interfering with the controller's own signal.
Interference may be caused by metallic objects between the console and controller.
The distance may be too far. Ensure you are within 19 feet or 6 meters from the console.
