Ensure that your iPad model and iOS version support the split screen feature. This feature is available on certain iPad models and requires at least iOS 9 or later.

Drag and Drop (For iPads with Home Button):
In the app switcher, tap and hold the app icon of the second app.
Drag the app icon to the left or right edge of the screen until the screen splits.
Release the app icon to activate split screen mode.
Drag and Drop (For iPads without Home Button):
In the app switcher, tap and hold the app icon of the second app.
Drag the app icon to the middle of the screen until the screen splits.
Release the app icon to activate split screen mode.
Adjust Split Screen Size
You can adjust the split screen size by dragging the separator line that separates the two apps. Slide it left or right to allocate more space to one app or the other.
Switch Apps in Split Screen
To switch between the two apps in split screen mode, simply tap on the app you want to bring to the forefront.
Close One App:
To close one of the apps, tap and hold its app icon at the top of the screen.
Drag the icon off the screen to close the app.
Exit Split Screen:
To exit split screen mode entirely, drag the separator line all the way to one side of the screen. The remaining app will take up the full screen.
Use Slide Over (Optional)
If you want to temporarily access a third app without exiting split screen, you can use the "Slide Over" feature. Drag an app from the dock onto the screen, and it will appear as a small window that you can interact with.
The steps and gestures might vary slightly based on your iPad model and iOS version.
Not all apps support split screen mode. Some apps might only work in Slide Over mode.
Some apps might provide additional options when used in split screen, such as drag-and-drop content between them.
By following these steps, you can effectively use split screen mode on your iPad, allowing you to multitask and work with two apps simultaneously on the same screen. This feature is particularly useful for enhancing productivity and efficiency on your iPad.
