Introduction
Before You Begin:
1 Get Your TeamViewer ID, Password from the Remote Computer
You will need to know your TeamViewer ID and either the Personal Password you set up when you installed TeamViewer, or the randomly generated password before continuing.
On a Windows Computer
- Open TeamViewer from the System Tray.
- Or, if you can't locate TeamViewer on the System Tray, click your Start Menu and select TeamViewer.
- In TeamViewer, make note of Your ID. You will need this information to remotely connect to your computer in the future.The Password listed on this screen will change every twenty-four hours.
On a Mac Computer
- Select the TeamViewer icon on the top-right of your menu bar, and select Show TeamViewer.
- In TeamViewer, make note of Your ID. You will need this information to remotely connect to your computer in the future.The Password listed on this screen will change every twenty-four hours.
2 Connect to Remote Computer from Your Phone or Tablet (iOS)
- Open the TeamViewer app on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch, then enter your Partner ID from your computer, and select Remote Control.
- Enter your password, then select OK.
You can enter either the Personal Password you set up when you installed TeamViewer, or the randomly generated password displayed beneath 'Your ID' on the TeamViewer home screen.
- A short reminder will be displayed on the gestures your device supports. Select Continue.
- You can now control your computer using your phone or tablet, and display what you need on your phone screen.
3 How to Use the TeamViewer Controls in the iOS App
The TeamViewer Menu

Close your connection to the remote computer.

Tap to bring up the keyboard for the remote computer.

Open the TeamViewer settings and adjust them. For example: Open settings to turn off the desktop wallpaper.
How to Control the Remote Computer
You'll use iPhone and Tablet motions on your mobile device to control your remote computer.
Movements on Your Apple Device | What It Does |
Tap | Clicks on the remote computer |
Tap and Hold | Double-clicks on the remote computer |
Drag | Movement of the mouse |
Double-tap and Drag | Drag and drop items |
Two Finger Drag | Scrolling |

4 Disconnecting Your iOS Device From the Remote Computer
- Select the expander menu in the bottom-right corner, then select the X from the options.
- You'll be asked if you're sure you want to close the connection, select Close.
