How to Use the Panasonic Smart TV Remote Control

1. Introduction

Accessing your Panasonic Smart TV's internet-based features requires using the remote that came with it. This guide will give you a basic rundown of how to launch these Smart TV functions using the supplied remote control that your TV was packaged with.

2. Basic Setup for Your Panasonic Smart TV

3. Introduction

In order to use your Panasonic Smart TV's features, your Smart TV must be connected to Wi-Fi.

4. Power On

To power on your TV using your remote control:

  1. Press the Power button (1) to turn the TV on.
  2. Press for about 1 second.
  3. Every time you turn on the TV, the VIERA Connect introduction banner will appear on-screen.

5. Access Menu

To access the TV's menu system using your remote control:

  1. Press the Menu button (1) on your TV remote.

  1. Use the arrow buttons to navigate the menu and the OK button to advance thru different menu selections.

  1. To change menu pages, use the Up and Down arrow buttons.

  1. To return to the previous menu screen, use the Back/Return button.

  1. To exit the menu, press the EXIT button on the remote.

6. Change Input

To change video inputs using your remote control:

  1. Ensure the TV is powered on (1).
  2. Press the AV button (2) on the remote to display the input selection menu.

  1. Use the Up and Down arrow buttons to highlight the desired input, then press the OK button to select said input.

  1. This process can be repeated at any time to switch to a different video input. For example, switching from watching Cable television to a DVD player and then back again.

7. Adjust Volume

To adjust volume on your TV using your remote control:

  1. Press the volume + or - buttons (1) on your remote to adjust volume up or down.

8. VIERA Connect

To access VIERA Connect Smart TV features using your remote control:

  1. Ensure the TV is powered on (1).
  2. To access VIERA Connect, press the INTERNET or OK buttons (2) on the remote.

  1. The OK button can only be used to access VIERA Connect while the VIERA Connect introduction banner is still on the screen. If you do not see this banner, always use the INTERNET button.
  2. Depending on the usage conditions, it may take a while for VIERA Connect to fully load and/or connect.
  3. Messages might be displayed before the full VIERA Connect home screen loads. Please read and follow any instructions carefully if necessary.
  4. Once loaded, the VIERA Connect Home screen will look like this:

  1. To go to the next level, select MORE.
  2. To back to the previous level, select BACK
  3. To return to VIERA Connect home screen, press the INTERNET button on the remote.
