Introduction
Before You Begin:
All settings are taken care of through the Ring app on your smartphone or tablet. You will need to have your Ring devices set up, and the app installed to access these settings.
1 Ring Control Center Security and Privacy Options
- Open the Ring app.
- Select the Menu at the top, then select Control Center.

If it is not already set up on your account, we highly recommend setting up Two-Factor Authentication.
If this is your first time launching the Control Center, you'll be prompted to setup Two-Factor Authentication, to ensure your account is kept safe and secure.Select Turn on Two-Factor, and follow the prompts on screen to register your phone or another two-factor method.Learn more about how Two-factor Authentication can help keep your accounts safe.
- Near the bottom are the options for your account security and privacy.
Security and Privacy Options Explained
Video Requests allows you to enable or disable sharing your videos with Law Enforcement when they request it as part of an investigation.
- When enabled, you will receive a request on your device each time Law Enforcement makes a request so you can approve or deny it.
- Disabled means they will always be denied and you won't receive a prompt.
Linked Accounts allows you to check what other services, such as Amazon's Alexa, Google's Assistant, Apple's Siri, or other services have access to your Ring devices.
Selecting the Trash icon will allow you to remove the account from services you do not use or do not recognize.
Shared Users allows you to manage the users that have access to your account, as well as the devices each has access to.
- Trash lets you remove a user from access to your Ring devices.
- Access Code allows you to set a custom code for the user.
- You can switch On or Off access to each aspect of your Ring system, for example not allowing a child access to their siblings' bedroom camera.
Authorized Devices will list all devices that currently have access to your Ring home.
(They will be prompted for their username, password, and two-factor authentication, for security reasons)
