Install the App for Your Fujifilm X-T1 Camera

1. Introduction: Fujifilm X-T1: Fujifilm Camera Remote: Setup

This guide will take you through setting up the Fujifilm Camera Remote app on your smartphone, and setting up your Fujifilm X-T1 camera to connect to it.

2. Fujifilm Camera Remote: Install Android App

  1. Launch the Play Store on your smartphone.

  1. Select the search bar at the top.

  1. Type in "FUJIFILM Camera Remote", then select FUJIFILM Camera Remote from the list.

  1. Select Install.

  1. This app requires extra permissions. When prompted, select Accept.

  1. Once installed, you can select Open now to open it.

We will return to the app in a moment, our next step is to enable Wi-Fi mode on your camera.

3. Fujifilm X-T1: Enable Pairing Registration

  1. Press the Wi-Fi Function button on top of your camera.

  1. Look on your camera screen. You will see the network name listed, it begins with FUJIFILM-X-T1-.

4. Fujifilm X Series: Pair to Android

  1. Open Settings on your phone or tablet.

  1. Select your camera's Wi-Fi Network. The name will begin with FUJIFILM-X-T1-, it will not have any password on it.
  2. Open the Fujifilm Camera Remote app.

5. Fujifilm Camera Remote: Basic Controls

The Camera Remote app offers you 4 basic ways to interact with your Camera.

  • Control your camera directly; take pictures, video, and adjust settings using your mobile device.
  • Browse Camera

  • Browse, delete, and download images on your camera's memory card using your mobile device.
  • Receive

  • Use your mobile device as a place to store your images. While you use your camera, each image will be uploaded right away to your mobile phone.
  • Geotagging
  • Using your phone's GPS information, add latitude and longitude information to images, to help keep them more organized later.

6. Fujifilm Camera Remote: Install iOS App

  1. Open the App Store.

8. Fujifilm X Series: Pair to iOS

  1. Open Settings on your phone or tablet.

  1. Select Wi-Fi.

  1. Make sure that the Wi-Fi feature is enabled by flipping the On/Off switch to the green position.
  2. Select your camera's Wi-Fi Network. The name will begin with FUJIFILM-X-T1-, it will not have any password on it.
  3. Open the Fujifilm Camera Remote app.
