1. Introduction: Nikon D3400: Pair Bluetooth Devices
Your Nikon D3400 does not pair directly with your device, but rather through the SnapBridge app. This guide will take you through steps on enabling Bluetooth on your device, on downloading the app, and on setting up the connection between your device and Nikon camera.
2. Android: Enable Bluetooth
Swipe down on your screen (or up, if using a tablet) to access the menu.
Hold down on the Bluetooth icon to bring up Bluetooth options.
Ensure the Bluetooth switch is set to ON.
3. Nikon SnapBridge: Install Android App
Launch the Play Store on your smartphone.
Select the search bar at the top.
Type in "SnapBridge", then select SnapBridge from the list.
Select Install.
This app requires extra permissions. When prompted, select Accept.
Once installed, you can select Open now to open it.
We will return to the app in a moment, our next step is to enable pairing mode on your camera.
4. Nikon D3400: Pairing Registration
Push the Menu button.
Select Setup.
Scroll down, and select Connect to Smart Device > Start.
5. Nikon SnapBridge: Pair to Phone
Launch SnapBridge on your device.
Select Pair with camera.
Select digital SLR camera.
Your phone will locate your camera. Follow the directions on your phone's screen to complete the connection.
6. iOS: Enable Bluetooth
Open Settings on your phone or tablet.
Then tap Bluetooth.
Make sure Bluetooth is set to On.
7. Nikon SnapBridge: Install iOS App
Open the App Store.
Select Search in the bottom right corner.
Type in "SnapBridge", then select Search.
Select Get for SnapBridge.
Select Open to open the app now, if you wish.
