This guide will take you through some troubleshooting steps to repair basic problems you may encounter with the Tile app on your mobile device.

The most common way to resolve issues on your Android mobile device is to reboot it. Sometimes the Android OS or the apps running on your mobile device can become unstable - rebooting your mobile device gives it a chance to start up fresh and can resolve many issues on its own.
- Hold down the power button on your Android device.
Depending on the manufacturer and model of Android device you have, the location of the power button will vary.
- A prompt will appear on-screen. Select Restart.
If the menu does not pop up, continue to hold the power button, and your Android device will shut off.
- If you had to shut down your Android device, wait 30 seconds before turning your device back on.
- Swipe down on your screen (or up, if using a tablet) to access the menu.
- Hold down on the Bluetooth icon to bring up Bluetooth options.
- Ensure the Bluetooth switch is set to ON.

- The Tile app will take you through a few guided-tour screens after this. This will take you through the basics of using your Tile device with your mobile device.
- Once the tour is finished, select Start using Tile to begin using the app normally.
- Your Tile app is now installed and ready to use.
- Open the Tile app.
- From the main screen of the Tile app, press the + button to begin adding a Tile tracker to the app.
- From the available device list, choose Tile.
- Select the type of Tile device you are adding from the available list.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to get your Tile device to begin communicating with the app.
- Once the pairing process has completed, you will receive a confirmation screen.
- Next, the app will ask you to label your Tile device. This will help you identify what item you're tracking if you have multiple Tile devices.
- On the last screen, you can test your Tile by tapping the green Find button. This will make your Tile ring until you click the logo on it.
