Set Up ecobee Switch+ to Use Smart Lights with Alexa

You'll Learn How To:
Get your Ecobee Switch+ connected to your Philips Hue smart lights for use with Amazon Alexa.
Before We Begin:
Your Philips Hue system must already be setup.
Your Ecobee Switch+ must already be setup & registered to your Amazon Alexa account.
2. Basic Setup Complete Check
In order to use your Philips Hue system with your home assistant, you need to first have your Hue system setup and working properly with the Hue app.

In order to use your Ecobee Switch+ with your other home automation equipment, you need to first have your Switch+ setup and working properly with the Ecobee app.

In order to use your device with Amazon Alexa, you need to first have your Amazon device setup and working properly with the Alexa app.

5. Add Philips Hue
Open the Alexa app on your mobile device.
Select Smart Home Devices.
Select Add.
Select Add Device.
Select Hub.
Select Philips Hue.
Philips Hue has two versions of their hub available; one square and one round. Select which hub you have.
You'll be reminded that, to continue, you'll have to have the Philips Hue system setup with the Philips Hue app first. You have already done this. Select Continue.
The page for the Hue skill will be shown. Select Enable to Use.
Sign in with the Email address and Password for your Philips Hue account.
You'll be asked to grant permission for Alexa to use Philips Hue. Select Yes.
Hue will be linked to your Alexa account. Select the X in the corner to close this window.
Alexa will ask to discover the devices connected to your Philips Hue system. Select Discover Devices.
Alexa will scan your Philips Hue for all the lights, switches, and sensors you use with your Philips Hue system.
Now that Alexa knows what is available to be added:
Your Alexa system will need you to add each device you wish to control, so it can control each one directly. Select Choose Device.
Select one of your devices, then select Set Up Device.
Alexa will ask you to add the device to a group, so you can keep things organized. Select Choose Group.
Select the group or room where this device is located, then select Add to Group.
Alexa will let you know the device is now setup. Select Continue.
Repeat these steps to add each device connected to your Philips Hue that you wish to control with Alexa.
You can now control your Philips Hue lights using any Alexa-enabled devices you have in your home, as well as from the Alexa App on your phone or tablet.
